Redditch United manager Gary Whild was pulling no punches after his side's 3-1 Blue Square North home defeat by promotion-chasing Harrogate Town.
Whild told BBC Hereford and Worcester his side had got exactly what they had deserved from the game - nothing.
"It was probably going to be the team that wanted it most," said Whild. "And Harrogate thoroughly deserved the win.
"It's disappointing because we had spoken about pushing on between now and the end of the season."
The result pushes the Reds down a place to 13th with, now officially, nothing left to play for other than pride over their final five games.
Whild's men are 17 points adrift of the Blue Square North play-off places, but 16 points clear of the drop zone.
