Sporting Academics took the lead in the second division of the Coca Cola Combination on Saturday after previous top side St Ouen dropped points. The Accies 3-0 away win at St John came via goals from John Irwin, Noel Kernan and Jamie Savory.
They are now a point clear of St Ouen, but have played an extra game.
St Ouen were held to a 1-1 draw at home to rivals St Brelade with Jon Evans on target for the home side and Ollie Nightingale replying for the visitors.

Bob Bonney scored both goals for third-placed Beeches in their 2-1 win over bottom side St Martin Sporting Club Francais.
They are now two points off the top, but have played more games.
Goals from Ged O'Donoghue and Paul Lees helped Jersey Nomads overtake St Clement into fourth place after beating them 2-0.
Magpies overtook St Lawrence in seventh place after beating them 2-0 after strikes from Mark Wilkinson and Steve Cumming.
