Craig Nelthorpe gave the visitors an early lead after four minutes before Northwich's Burns latched on to a cross and fired home 10 minutes later.

John Shaw edged them into a lead again after 36 minutes, but Burns again pulled it back with a close-range shot in the final minute of the first half.

Nathan Joynes had earlier been dismissed for foul on Michael Welch.
