Halifax avenged their Boxing Day defeat against Farsley Celtic, despite playing with 10 men for most of the match. The home side were gifted an early lead when Farsley's Mark Jackson shot past his own goalkeeper in the 10th minute.
But they then suffered the dismissal of Anthony Griffith, who was sent off for a professional foul 19 minutes later.
Jon Shaw fired home from inside the penalty area in the 50th minute then substitute Andy Campbell went close when his shot hit the crossbar.
