Aldershot maintained their place at the top of the Blue Square Premier table after beating Rushden & Diamonds at the Recreation Ground. John Grant headed in from a Joel Grant cross after 24 minutes to give the home side the lead.
Anthony Straker crossed for Ben Harding to volley home and make it 2-0.
The visitors pulled one back when Simeon Jackson converted after latching on to Jon Challinor's pass but that was as good as it got for Diamonds.
