Simeon Jackson's double guided Rushden to a convincing win over woeful Oxford. Rushden were 3-0 ahead inside the opening quarter of an hour thanks to a low shot from Jackson, Matt Day's own goal and a Craig McAllister lob.
Early in the second half Rushden stretched their lead when Andy Burgess' scuffed shot was diverted home by the luckless Kieron St Aimee.
Just past the hour Rushden got their fifth when Jackson beat two defenders and fired a shot into the top corner.
