A late Nathan Smith free-kick sealed a point for struggling Stafford Rangers. Jamie Cook had opened the scoring for Crawley, bagging his fourth of the season as he got on the end of a Thomas Pinault cross from the left.
But when Pinault then brought down Marco Adaggio in the 90th minute Smith stepped up to hammer home the free-kick from 20 yards to secure a draw.
Pinault and Glenn Wilson both missed chances to seal the win for the home side in stoppage time.
