Thomas Pinault netted the winner as Crawley closed the gap on the top five with a narrow victory over Histon. The encounter started at a laboured tempo, but Histon keeper Danny Naisbitt had to be alert to parry Pablo Mills' goalbound header after 17 minutes.
Pinault made the crucial breakthrough for the hosts with a well-taken
finish from the edge of the area.
Cliff Akurang and Antonio Murray hit the woodwork for Histon as Crawley held out for the win.
