York slipped to their fifth home defeat of the season at the hands of Histon. Nicky Wroe handed the hosts a deserved lead midway through the first half, firing home from close range.
But Antonio Murray pulled Histon level before the break, drilling home from 12 yards and a Nathaniel Knight-Percival made it 2-1 after half-time.
Daniel Wright headed in from close range to extend the lead and Cliff Akurang wrapped up a convincing win with a cool low finish.
