Warren Peyton's late winner secured Altrincham's first away win of the season at the expense of Crawley. The midfielder took possession 25 yards from goal in the 82nd minute and lashed a shot into the bottom corner.
Crawley missed a chance to take a first-half lead when Guy Madjo saw his penalty saved by Richard Acton.
Altrincham's stopper also saved Tyrone Thompson's 35-yard rocket after the restart, while Crawley's Jamie Cook blazed over from a corner.
