Second-half goals from Scott Davies and Rob Elvins ensured Aldershot stayed second in the Blue Square Premier. In a tame opening it took until the 34th minute for either goalkeeper to be tested, when Chris Beardsley's 20-yard effort was held by Shots' Nikki Bull.
Aldershot took the lead early in the second half in spectacular style as Davies fired in a stylish free-kick.
And with 17 minutes left Anthony Straker crossed and Elvins was on hand to head home from close range.
