Stevenage and Oxford missed the chance to go top of the Blue Square Premier after a lively goalless draw. Yemi Odubade missed a glorious chance to put Oxford ahead after just two minutes when he fired over from the centre of the penalty area.
But Oxford keeper Billy Turley produced two superb stops either side of half-time to prevent Steve Morison putting the hosts ahead.
And Turley came to the rescue again to save Craig Dobson's effort late on.
