Stacy Long's 50th-minute volley ensured all three points for Ebbsfleet and maintained their 100% home record. Ebbsfleet had the majority of the play in the first half but despite chances for Mark DeBolla and Luke Moore the score remained deadlocked.
Shortly after half-time, Long expertly fired DeBolla's right-wing cross past goalkeeper Craig Mawson.
Halifax pushed for the equaliser but apart from a shot by Robert Scott rarely tested goalkeeper Scott Tynan.
