Halifax and Histon are both still seeking their first league win of the season after playing out a goalless draw at The Shay. Histon keeper Mark Osborn made a superb save after five minutes, tipping Darryn Stamp's effort just over the bar.
Stamp's header drifted wide just before the break to add a modicum of interest to a drab opening 45 minutes.
Chances were also hard to come by after the break, although Andy Campbell should have scored late on for Town.
