Jake Edwards and Taiwo Atieno scored as rock-bottom Tamworth registered a morale-boosting win at York. Edwards opened the scoring after 20 minutes with a volley from the edge of the penalty area.
Atieno doubled Tamworth's advantage with a right-foot shot from 12 yards before York rallied.
Lewis McMahon had a shot blocked by Simon Weaver before James Dudgeon
and Anthony Lloyd were denied by Lambs goalkeeper Jose Veiga.
