Wilson has left in the wake of the takeover at Kettering |
Kettering's former manager Kevin Wilson has left the club after turning down a director of football role. Wilson, 44, was offered the role after being replaced as manager of the Conference North side by Paul Gascoigne after almost two years in charge.
A club statement said: "Kevin has decided that his heart lies in day-to-day football management.
"He believes it would not be fair to accept a role he could not commit to in the medium to long-term."
The statement added: "The club would like to thank Kevin for the effort, achievement and dedication he has given to this club and would like to reiterate our disappointment that Kevin will no longer be with us.
"The club has parted with Kevin on good terms and he wishes the supporters and management team the best of fortunes for the future."
