85 min: Aaron Mokoena averts danger by clearing the ball. The resultant corner is easily dealt with.

84 min: Seaka easily goes past Aaron Mokoena before swinging in a dangerous cross, which is cleared by the South African defence.

82 min: A corner-kick to the Ivorians causes panic in the South African defence, until Old John hacks the ball clear.

80 min: The Ivorians pile on the pressure, as the South Africans have been forced to defend for the last 10 minutes.

74 min: Another free kick is given outside the South African box. But Toure's kick is poorly taken, as the ball goes harmlessly past Arendse.

71 min: Patrick Mbuthu makes his debut, as he replaces the injured Nhleko, while Guey wins a free kick near the South African corner flag, after being fouled by Lekgetho. But the ball is headed out of danger.

69 min: Ivory Coast gets a free kick close to South Africa's vital area. Aaron Mokoena does well to head away a dangerous curling kick.

67 min: Lekgetho launches a good counter- attack down the left, setting up Zwane, who approaches the Ivorian box. His cross bounces off the crossbar and back into play.

64 min: Sibaya goes down after an elbow swung from an Ivorian defender - fortunately for the Ivory Coast the offence is not spotted by the Malian referee.

62 min: South Africa make a change with Benedict Vilakazi coming on for Teboho Mokoena. Vilakazi makes a disappointing first touch as he loses possession.

60 min: Concern for the South Africans as goalkeeper Andre Arendse goes down with a leg injury after colliding wth striker Traore. The South African captain is ready for action again after a few minutes of treatment.

55 min: Japhet Zwane has a stinging shot wll saved by the Ivorian goalkeeper.

52 min: The Ivorians start to exert some pressure as the full-house crowd vent their frustration.

47 min: South Africa start the second half well as debutante Japhet Zwane comes close to scoring.

South Africa did well to hold the Ivory Coast to a goalless situation in an evenly balanced first half in Abidjan.

Both sides had their fair share of chances with striker Nkosinathi Nhleko going close for Bafana Bafana and Habib Kolo Toure having the best chance for the home side.
