| Liberia's Asian mission ![]() Liberia seek their third appearance at the Nations Cup He is to assess the performance of Liberians players in that region, for possible inclusion on the national team. Alamadine, a former Liberian professional based in Thailand, will provide information on defenders Joseph Amoah, Henry Baysah and Moses Nyewan. All play for Thai club, Black Pearl Nong Chock. Others are Josiah Seton and Mass Sarr Jr, of Malaysian clubs Sahab FC and Selangor. Sarr is a former player of English club Reading when they were in the second division. Playing in a 2004 Nations Cup qualifying group that includes Ethiopia, Guinea, and Niger, Liberia is hoping to make its third appearance at the finals. The Lone Star currently lie at the bottom of the group on goal difference. Alamadine's new job is the second of such appointments. Last year, Kromah named Abraham Foafana, a Liberian based in Holland, to carry out similar work. With their numbers in Europe dwindling, Liberian footballers have moved in droves to Asia.
