Yugoslavian club Partizan Belgrade have told BBC Sport Online that a deal can still be done with Nigerian defender Taribo West. On Monday, the club said he must sign a deal by Tuesday or they would no longer pursue their interest in him. But Club secretary Zarko Zecevic said West would be flying into Belgrade to further talks with the club. "Taribo has been in touch with us to say that he will be arriving on Wednesday. "But until he comes we can be never be too sure," Zecevic said. Zecevic said Partizan coach Lothar Matthaus believes the form of West could help the club win the Yugoslavian league and earn it a Uefa Champions League place.
