| Africans go awol
Most high-profile among them is Auxerre's Zimbabwean striker Benjamin Mwaruwari. Mwaruwari is known to have missed his flight back last weekend. But no-one at Auxerre has heard from him since. Also absent from their club is Sedan's Senegalese duo of Henri Camara and Moussa N'Daiye. Both travelled to Dakar for the holiday period but have not returned, despite Sedan beginning training on 29 December. Another Senegal international, Le Harve's Souleymane Diawara, is also absent, although he has been excused by the club's coach Jean-Francois Domergue. "This absence was due to family reasons. Everything's been made clear," Domergue confirmed. And it is not just Africans who have been afflicted by tardiness - Le Championnat's most high-profile star, Brazil striker Ronaldinho, is yet to return to his club Paris Saint Germain. | Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Africans abroad stories now: Links to more Africans abroad stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
