| Benjani is French flavour ![]() Mwaruwari (centre) celebrates another goal for Auxerre Zimbabwean goalscoring sensation Benjamin Mwaruwari has received a top accolade in France. The Auxerre hitman, nicknamed Benjani, has been named French first division Player of the Month for September. The 24-year-old made his debut in French football this season and has made a major impact with seven goals in 10 league matches. He also scored against Borussia Dortmund in his only Champions League appearance. Mwaruwari was signed by Auxerre boss Guy Roux after the player's agent persuaded the wily manager to take a look at him. Roux was impressed and wasted no time in signing the speedy striker.
