Novak added that his club has taken all possible measures to secure his players, who may be afraid of the contagious decease.

"All the players, technical staff, anyone who has ever been in contact with Ramzy, even me, were in hospital having X-rays to make sure that no one was infected," he said.

However, the official spokesman of the club clarified the issue about Ramzy's future with his club.

"We are backing Ramzy till the end," Novak said.

"We want him back in the squad as soon as possible, his team-mates, the coach, me and everyone in the club will do their best to help him recover quickly and join us again.

"Ramzy is a big player, he is a famous name in the Bundesliga. Since he went into hospital, we have been receiving enormous amounts of letters and phone calls from fans everywhere, who expressed their sorrow and support for Ramzy," Novak added.

Ramzy is staying at the moment at the Ooestpfalwest hospital, but his doctors do not allow him to take any phone calls as he is in intensive care.
