Eight teams contested a final tournament, which doubled as Africa's inaugural Under-23 Championships, to determine who represents Africa at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Three African sides - Gabon, Morocco and Egypt - have qualified for next year's Olympics with a fourth - Senegal - playing off against an Asian side for another place at the London Games on 23 April 2012.
