Nigeria's preparations for the World Cup have been disrupted

Nigeria will play Colombia in a pre-World Cup friendly but a venue for the game has yet to be found.

The Super Eagles' preparations for South Africa have been hampered by difficulties in arranging matches.

The game with Colombia has been talked about for some time but had faltered over the issue of costs, flights and appearance fees.

Now the company putting the deal together has told the BBC an agreement has been reached.

A spokesman for Fullplay International TV, which brokers deals with the Colombian international side, confirmed to the BBC that the match was set to take place in London on 30 May.

"The organisers are ready but the stadium is not confirmed yet," Daniel Tamborini said.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) acknowledged that financial issues were part of the agreement to play the game.

"We have always received appearance fees as well as other essential welfare packages so we cannot descend go a step lower," NFF spokesman Ademola Olajire told BBC Sport.

"Nigeria seriously needs these friendly games but we cannot back down on our demands for the team.

"These friendlies offer us the opportunities of preparing the Super Eagles for the World Cup as well exploiting the brand Nigeria, Super Eagles and World Cup participation."

Nigeria meet Argentina, Greece and South Korea in Group B in South Africa.
