France to train in Tunisia

Tunisian Fans
Tunisian fans will be excited to see their national team play against France

France has revealed that it will set up a training camp in Tunisia before departing for the World Cup in South Africa next year.

The former world champions will also play a friendly game against the Carthage Eagles on May 30.

Les Bleus will play two other friendlies against China on the island of Reunion, off the coast of Madagascar and against Costa Rica at a yet to be determined venue.

France qualified for the World Cup after a controversial playoff match against Ireland, that saw Thierry Henry control the ball with his hand before setting up teammate William Gallas to score the winner.

Tunisia on the other hand failed to qualify for South Africa 2010 after losing 1-0 to Mozambique on the last day of qualifying, a result that meant Nigeria made it through from the group.

The French who have been drawn in Group A, will arrive in South Africa on June 6 and play their first World Cup match against Uruguay on June 11 in Cape Town. South Africa and Mexico are the other teams in their group.
