Ghana's former captain Stephen Appiah set to miss Nations Cup
Ghana have left Sulley Muntari out of their squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola next month.
Muntari, has not been a regular for his Italian Club Inter Milan this season and has disciplinary problems with his national team coach Milovan Rajevac.
Steven Appiah, a one-time captain of The Black Stars misses out through injury and this will be the second successive Nations Cup he has not played in.
Six members of the Under-20 World Cup winning team have been included in the squad including the tournament's top scorer, Dominic Adiyiah.
Chelsea star Michael Essien, is also named in the team despite being in a race to recover from injury.
But Laryea Kingston who plays for Hearts in Scotland will miss out through injury.
Ghana's team will commence preparations for the tournament on December 28 in Nelspruit, in the north-eastern part of South Africa.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group B of the Nations Cup alongside Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo in an all-West African battle.
