Tetteh says Ghana can win Africa's first U20 World Cup title
Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh believes his Black Satellites can deliver Africa's first ever Under 20 World Cup title.
They qualified for Friday's final with another thrilling performance in the Cairo International Stadium, beating Hungary 3-2.
Once again Ghana showed wonderful scoring potential whilst allowing their opponents opportunities at the back.
This is third time Ghana have been to the final of this competition but they have never won it before.
Tetteh says they can go one better in Egypt.
"I believe it is time for Africa to win this tournament - and it's Ghana," he told the BBC's African sports programme Fast Track after the game against Hungary.
"The progression of the team has been so good and we have been so persistent.
"That is good for a team which has a future; that has the capacity to win the ultimate."
Asked about the Black Satellites apparent frailty in defence, Tetteh said he was continuing to try and resolve the problems.
"We're working towards that, slowly and cautiously - but as far as finishing clinically [is concerned] we are on course.
"We have more to do but the total outcome is so important and we won, so we look at our weaknesses and then we work on it."
His players were delighted to have made it through to the final.
"I hope that everyone in Ghana is happy, every Ghanaian in the world is happy," skipper Dede Ayew told the BBC.
"That's what we want to do, we want to make them proud."
And asked about the achievement in reaching the Under 20 World Cup final, defender David Addy was ecstatic.
"Magnificent, we've worked very hard and I think we've deserved it," he said.
"It's always good to make history and that's what we're fighting for."
