UAE stun SA at U20 World Cup

The United Arab Emirates scored twice in injury time to earn a dramatic 2-2 draw with 10-man South Africa at the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt on Sunday.

The South Africans had appeared headed for an easy win after Kermit Erasmus scored twice in the second half.

But they were reduced to 10 men in the 82nd minute when Ramahlwe Mphahlele was sent off for a foul on Ahmed Ali.

Hamdan Al Kamali scored a penalty one minute after regular time ended.

Theyab Awana equalized two minutes later, firing in a cross from Ali.

South Africa are second in Group F with one point behind Honduras.

The Central American nation top the group after a 3-0 victory over Hungary.
