Former African Champions Etoile du Sahel will not take part in the semis
DR Congo's TP Mazembe are through to the last four of the African Champions League after a 1-0 victory over former African Champions Etoile du Sahel.
Tshizeu Kanyimb scored the lone goal of the game that gave the hosts the needed three points.
In the other Group B game, Zimbabwe's Monomotapa beat Heartland of Nigeria 2-1.
Daniel Kamungenga put the Zimbabweans ahead in the first half.
Emmanuel Omodiagbe's equaliser for Heartland halfway through the second half kept the visitors in it.
But Tawanda Nyamandwe struck the winner in the 73rd minute and Monomotapa finish the group stage of the African Champions League on a high, although they remain rooted at the bottom of the group with six points.
TP Mazembe win Group B with twelve points, while Heartland are second with nine.
In Group A, Kano Pillars of Nigeria snatched a late equaliser against Sudan's El Merreikh to head into the African Champions League semi-finals as group winners.
It seemed the Sudanese champions were on their way to their first win of the group stage when Retshardo Lado scored from the penalty spot halfway through the first half.
Two minutes from the final whistle, however, substitute Joseph Adamson put the ball into the back of the net for Kano Pillars.
Kano Pillars take the honours in Group A at the end of group stages.
They lead on 11 points ahead of Sudan's Al Hilal on ten points.
Al Hilal, who rested some of their players ahead of the semi-finals, lost their final group game 2-0 to Zambia's Zesco United.
It was Zesco's first home win in the group stage.
Enock Sakala opened the scoring for Zesco in the 72nd minute, before Nicholas Zulu grabbed a second just six minutes later.
Zesco's win in Lusaka sees them finish third in the group.
TP Mazembe will take on Al Hilal in the last four.
There'll be an intriguing all Nigerian match-up in the second semi-final as Heartland take on Kano Pillars.
The semi-finals will take place on the first and third weekends of October.
