Sone Aluko made his first appearance for Nigeria earlier this year
Nigeria have included former England youth international Sone Aluko in their squad for the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt later this month.
The Aberdeen striker was born in Birmingham to Nigerian parents and has played for England at under-19 level.
He made his debut for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Republic of Ireland earlier this year.
But coach Samson Siasia has been forced to leave out several key players from his final 21-man squad.
The star of Nigeria's Under-17 World Cup triumph two years ago, Macauley Chrisantus, is injured.
Spain-based defender Kingsley Udoh is missing because of visa problems and Russia-based striker Ganiyu Oseni has been left out because he is not playing frequently enough.
All three played a prominent role in the victory in South Korea, with Chrisantus emerging as the tournament's top scorer.
But Siasia has included several players from the Nigerian domestic league - like goalkeeper Oladele Ajiboye and Kano Pillars midfielder Mohammed Shehu Shagari, as well as the top scorer from last season, Bayelsa's Stanley Ohawuchi.
Unlike their colleagues in the under-17 squad, the under-20 line-up have not been subjected to age testing.
Nigeria are in a group with Spain, Venezuela and Tahiti and kick-off their campaign in Cairo on 25 September.
