African champions Egypt needed a late equaliser to grab a draw at the end of a thrilling friendly with Guinea in Cairo.

The Pharaohs took the lead through Hosni Abd Rabbou in the 3rd minute but that was cancelled out by Souleymane Youla of Guinea on the half-hour.

Both players then scored again before half-time to make it 2-2 at the break.

Egypt have struggled since winning the Nations Cup in Ghana last year and have just four points from three games in 2010 qualifying so far.

Coach Hassan Shehata came under yet more pressure when Guinea took the lead just into the second-half through Kaba Diawara.

Shehata's blushes were spared when Ahmed Eid popped up in injury time at the end of the game to equalise for Egypt - but there is much work for the Pharaohs to do.

Tanzania had a good 2-1 away win over Rwanda in Kigali.

All three goals came in the space of five second-half minutes.

Algeria beat Uruguay 1-0 at home and Morocco and Congo-Brazzaville drew 1-1.
