Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche is set for a move to Real Zaragoza
Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche has completed his move to Spanish side Real Zaragoza from their La Liga rivals Getafe.
The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal after spending two seasons with Getafe.
"Real Zaragoza, Getafe and Uche have arrived at a principle agreement for Uche to join Zaragoza," a statement from Zaragoza read.
"The Nigerian striker will spend the next four seasons with the Aragones club."
Uche had been linked with a move to Sevilla or Valencia, but instead he chose to join former coach Marcelino García Toral.
Zaragoza's manager Toral worked with Uche at Recreativo Huelva where the Nigerian spent four seasons.
"There were indeed several options but a reunion with someone I worked with at Recreativo is quite emotional for me," he added.
"It's better to go somewhere you are wanted than where you are just an alternative."
Last season, the forward also attracted interests from English Premier League sides, scored seven goals and provided two assists in 33 appearances for Getafe.
Uche is the club's third signing since the end of last season after Jermaine Pennant joined from Liverpool and goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo signed on loan from Lazio.
