DR Congo players celebrate a goal against Libya in Monday's game
DR Congo went to the top of Group B of the African Nations Championship in Ivory Coast with a 2-0 victory over Libya in Bouake on Monday.
Both goals came in the second half, with Dioko Kaluyituka striking home a Mputu Mabi cross from close range on 58 minutes.
Captain Bongelli Lofo converted a penalty in the 65th minute after Mabi, who had an outstanding game, had been brought down in the box.
DR Congo could have won by a wider margin but for missing opportunities in the first half.
In Monday's earlier game, two goals from Rahim Ayew helped Ghana come from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Zimbabwe.
Ovidy Karuru opened the scoring for Zimbabwe with a header after just four minutes, and the lead was doubled later in the first half thanks to Phillip Marufu.
Ayew, the eldest son of Ghana great Abedi Ayew 'Pele', then struck either side of half time to earn his side the draw.

Ghana finished the game with ten men after Ofosu Appiah was shown a second yellow card in stoppage time at the end of the match.
Tuesday was a rest day at the tournament, with Group A matches taking place in Abidjan on Wednesday with Zambia playing Senegal and Ivory Coast facing Tanzania.
Group B resumes on Thursday in Bouake, DR Congo will take on Zimbabwe, and Ghana play Libya.
