Sfaxien lifted the cup in 2007, a feat they are attempting repeat
Tunisia's CS Sfaxien are hoping to continue a good run of home form on Friday when they host Egypt's Harras El Hadood in the fourth round of matches in the Confederation Cup.
Sfaxien are bidding to become the first club to successfully defend the title, despite losing in the away match in Egypt last weekend.
Sfaxien comfortably beat InterClube of Angola 4-1 in their previous home match with Guinean Naby Soumah and Ghanaian Agyemang Opoku among the goalscorers.
Their Ivorian striker Blaise Kouassi, was also on target against Harras in Alexandria.
"I'm in charge of footballers used to new challenges," coach Ghazi Ghrairi said.
"The cohesion and determination of our technically gifted squad makes me optimistic we can lift the trophy again," he said.
Tunisia's other Group A side Club Africain are also in contention with three games to go, after outclassing InterClube 3-0 at home last weekend to register their first win.
The two meet again in Angola on Sunday and Africain will look to scorers Junior Osagie, Wassim Yahia and Oussama Sallami to repeat their heroics.
In Group B, joint table toppers Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia - who are on six points - meet third place Al Merreikh of Sudan, who they beat 2-1 last weekend.
Ghana's Asante Kotoko, who are also on six points at the halfway mark, meet bottom side, Algerians JS Kabylie.
Kotoko play Kabylie on an artificial pitch in Tizi Ouzou, after last week's 3-1 victory for the Ghanaian side.
The winners of the two groups meet each other in a two-leg final.
