Zambia has been mourning the death of President Mwanawasa

The Zambian domestic league resumes this weekend after being suspended for three weeks following the death of President Levy Mwanawasa.

The mourning period for President Mwanawasa, who was also the Football Association of Zambia (Faz) patron, ended on 9 September.

The league is also set to be televised after Faz signed a $2.7 million four-year deal with the South African subscription channel SuperSport.

ZESCO United, from the Copperbelt town of Ndola, will be defending the title that they won last season.
