Wenger rules out move for Appiah

Ghana captain Stephen Appiah
Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has also been linked with West Ham

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out signing Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah, who is trying to finalise his release from Turkish club Fenerbahce.

There had been speculation that Arsenal wanted to sign the Ghana captain, who has also been linked with West Ham.

But Wenger was quick to dispel the rumours: "No, we are not on the case."

After a 10-month injury lay-off, the 27-year-old Appiah made his Ghana comeback recently in a 2010 World Cup qualifier against Libya.
