Equatorial Guinea midfielder Javier Balboa has moved to Portuguese giants Benfica on a four-year deal.
He has signed from Spanish champions Real Madrid, where he has been since 1999 when he joined their youth system.
Spanish media have reported that the move is worth more than US$ 6 million.
He played 10 games for Real last season, including appearances in La Liga, the UEFA Champions League and the King's Cup, and scored twice.
The 23-year-old was born in Spain, but his parents are from Equatorial Guinea and he made his international debut last year.
He will join up with his former Real under-20 coach Quique Sanchez Flores at Benfica.
