Ivory Coast take Group 7 lead

The Ivory Coast's Sekou Cisse
Sekou Cisse got the only goal of the game for the Ivory Coast
A win for the Ivory Coast on Sunday gave them an early lead in Group 7 of the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.

Without their injured captain Chelsea striker Didier Drogba Ivory Coast struggled to beat Mozambique in Abidjan on Sunday.

The Elephants only managed to break the deadlock in the 75th minute as Sekou Cisse chipped over the goalkeeper to win the game.

Botswana and Madagascar battled out a 0-0 in Gaborone on Saturday in the group's other game.

Botswana's Pontsho Moloi thought he had scored in each half only to have both efforts disallowed for offside.

Botswana continue their 2010 campaign with a trip to play Mozambique while Madagascar host the group favourites Ivory Coast, both matches are next weekend.
