Didier Drogba will miss the first game in World Cup qualifying
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will miss Ivory Coast's opening World Cup qualifier against Mozambique on Sunday because of injury.
It is not clear how serious his injury is.
He joins Aruna Dindane and Yaya Toure on the sidelines for the Group Seven match in Abidjan.
Drogba was sent off during extra time in last Wednesday's Champions League final defeat by Manchester United in Moscow.
Racing Lens striker Dindane was ruled out for six months after rupturing knee ligaments at the start of the month while Barcelona midfielder Toure recently underwent back surgery.
New Ivory Coast coach Vahid Halilhodzic has included in his squad Arsenal defender Kolo Toure, who missed two warm-up friendlies in Japan.
There is also a first call-up for the Dunfermline Athletic defender Souleymane Bamba.
