Okorowanta opened scoring for the Dream Team

Nigeria's Olympic team were crowned Intercontinental Cup Champions after a 2-0 victory over Australia in Malaysia.

Bernard Okorowanta opened the scoring for the Dream Team in the eight minute.

Emmanuel Sarki scored from a free kick four minutes from time to assure victory for Samson Siasia's side.

This tournament is part of Nigeria's build-up for the Olympic Games which take place in August.

But Siasia says that he expects only five or six members of the squad in Malaysia to make it into the final Olympic squad.

The Dream Team now head to a training camp in Portugal to continue preparations for the Beijing games in August.

In other friendly action, Zambia lost 3-2 to Iran in Tehran on Sunday.

The score was 2-2 going into the final few minutes but the hosts scored a penalty with just two minutes to go.

New Malawi coach Kinnah Phirri saw his side draw 1-1 with Tanzania in their warm up match in Dar-es-Salaam.

Malawi went into the lead through Essau Kanyeda in the 7th minute of the second half.

But that goal was cancelled out with 10 minutes of the match remaining by Salum Sued.

The game between Morocco and Liberia in Casablanca was called off because it wasn't confirmed in time.

Togo's friendly against Libya was also called off.
