Ghana's Anthony Annan wants a move to a major European club
Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is hoping that a loan move to Norway's Stabaek will help him seal a move to a major club in Europe.

The 21-year-old attracted interest from sides around Europe during the Africa Cup of Nations in his home country.

"My club IK Start have already said they are in talks with some clubs in the bigger leagues in Europe, but a deal can only be done in June.

"The loan deal at Stabaek is a flexible one that will keep me active," he said.

"That way when my club agrees a permanent move with a top club in Europe I will be in good shape."

German side Borussia Dortmund and some French sides have expressed interest in signing the midfielder.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Razak Pimpong also secured a loan move in Norway, joining Aalesund.

The striker sealed the season-long deal from giants Viking on Monday.

Pimpong is keen on regular first team action after making just 11 appearances last season.

"I just want to play regular football so this deal will surely help me in achieving my aim," Pimpong told BBC Sport.

Pimpong's contract with Viking will expire in June 2010.
