Okocha played for Qatar Sports Club before returning to England

English second tier side Hull could try and persuade veteran Nigerian midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha to stay with them for another season.

Okocha hinted he may bring the curtain down on his career in May.

But the 34-year-old can invoke a clause in his contract that allows him to continue playing for the Championship side for another campaign.

"That's Jay-Jay's decision but if I can persuade him otherwise, and if I feel it's right to, then I'll have that conversation with him," manager Phil Brown said.

"The guy has had a fantastic career and if he does sign off, he'll sign off on a high.

"If he doesn't sign off, it'll be because he's on a high and he wants to play on for another year."
