Kolo Toure has not ruled out playing in the quarter-finals |
Arsenal and Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure is hopeful he can shake off his groin injury in time for Ivory Coast's quarter-final match against Guinea. Ahead of Sunday's game Toure, 26, is back in training after being sidelined in last Friday's 4-1 win over Benin.
"It's not so bad, I'm getting better and we will continue to treat it, so we will see how it goes," Toure said.
It was previously feared that Toure's injury would stop the Elephants' man playing for the rest of the tournament.
Toure was assessed by Arsenal staff in France - after he was flown to Paris from Ghana - where tests revealed he could make a recovery before the end of the Nations Cup.

"Kolo has a grade one groin problem," Arsenal manager Wenger said on Tuesday.
"He will stay with the Ivory Coast squad for the rest of the tournament," added Wenger.
Toure missed his side's 3-0 win over Mali in Accra on Tuesday that confirmed their progress to the knock-out stages of the Africa Cup of Nations.
