Feindouno's absence is a major blow for Guinea |
The Confederation of African Football (Caf ) has banned Guinea captain Pascal Feindouno for two matches for violent conduct. The midfielder was sent off during Thursday's Group A match with Morocco.
Feindouno was given a straight red card for kicking an opponent during the Syli National's 3-2 win.
He will miss the crucial Group A game against Namibia on Monday, and should Guinea progress, Feindouno will also miss the quarter-finals.
The France-based midfielder was given his marching orders in the second half of the game against Morocco.
He had scored two goals for his side in the same game, and is the driving force of the team.
Guinea will badly miss a player who has scored eight goals in his 10 last games at the Africa Cup of Nations finals.
