 Goncalves will prepare his squad in Portugal |
Rui Marques has been named in Angola's preliminary squad of players for next month's African Nations Cup. The Leeds United defender last played for the Palancas Negras at the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
Coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves named Margues in his squad of 28 which starts training in Portugal on Boxing Day.
Also recalled are Mateus from Portuguese club Boavista and defender Marco Airosa, who plays for Fatima in the Portuguese second division.
Angola will play warm-up matches against a Canary Islands selection, Egypt and Morocco before they arrive in Ghana for the Nations Cup finals.
Angola are in Group D with Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia.
