Kalou: Eboue 'sorry' for tackle
Emmanuel Eboue
Eboue was stretchered off at the Emirates
Ivory Coast's Salomon Kalou claims that international team mate Emmanuel Eboue has apologised for his wayward tackle on England captain John Terry.

The clash happened during Arsenal's 1-0 win over Chelsea in the English Premier League.

Kalou said he spoke with Eboue after the match: "He said he tried to block the ball and it was not on purpose.

"He said sorry to John, he didn't mean to do it, but to apologise was a nice thing to do," Kalou added.

Chelsea captain Terry sustained an ankle injury in the challenge which threatens to keep him on the sidelines during the busy Christmas and New Year period.

Eboue was also injured in the game and could be out for several weeks.

The Ivorian was stretchered off with a knee ligament injury.

Arsenal's win ensured they stay top of the Premier League by a point from Manchester United and left Chelsea in third place, six points off the lead.
