Omotoyossi's philosophy is to try to score in every game |
After finishing joint-top goalscorer in Sweden's first division, Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi has set his sights on moving to a bigger league. The 22-year-old found the net 14 times for Helsingborgs in the just-ended season, as the club ended in mid-table.
Omotoyossi is attracting interest from various clubs in Europe and he harbours hopes of joining a top side.
"The best is to play in England, everyone wants to play there," he told BBC Sport.
"If it's not possible I'd like to go to France or Germany."
Difficult league
Omotoyossi had the benefit of playing alongside Sweden legend Henrik Larsson at Helsingborgs this season, his first with the club.
But he feels ready to move on.
"I don't want to play in Sweden next season, but if I stay I'll try to do even better.
"It's a very difficult league, the game is man-to-man and strong.
"The first few months were very hard, I had to get to understand their game."
"But playing together with Larsson helped me, he's a good player with a good attitude, I learnt a lot from him."
With Benin gearing up for their second Nations Cup appearance in January, Omotoyossi will be a key member of the side.
And his philosophy as a striker is simple:
"I always want to score in every game I play."
