Nigeria line up two friendlies
Super Eagles
Super Eagles will play Ivory Coast and Mali at the Nations Cup

Nigeria have lined up two friendly matches against Egypt and Sudan in Spain, as part of their build-up to next year's Nations Cup in Ghana.

According to the spokesman for the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Ademola Olajire, the Super Eagles will tackle Egypt on 8 January.

They will play the Nile Crocodiles four days later to test their readiness for the Nations Cup against Sudan.

"We are delighted to have reached an agreement on the two games," said Olajire.

"Coach Berti Vogts has been keen on playing against African opposition before the Nations Cup.

"We are in a very crucial group and so need to prepare very well."

Nigeria are drawn in a tough first round group for the tournament alongside Ivory Coast, Mali and Benin.

The Eagles, who are expected to open their training camp in Malaga on 3 January, will face Australia on 17 November in London and Switzerland four days later as part of their preparation for the 2008 Nations Cup.
