Algerian players celebrate a goal against Argentina in June's friendly |
Former world champions Brazil have confirmed a friendly against Algeria in France later this month.
According to the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) the game will be played on Montpellier on 22 August.
The Copa America title holders will name a 22-man squad on Tuesday to face the Desert Foxes.
The Montpellier friendly will be the fourth meeting between the two sides.
Brazil last played Algeria at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico with the South Americans winning 1-0.
Algeria impressed in a friendly against Argentina in June despite losing 4-3 to the South Americans.
But the Desert Foxes must beat Gambia in Banjul and hope that Cape Verde could prevent Group 8 leaders Guinea from winning in Conakry to qualify for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
