The victory gave Morocco seven points and a four-point lead over idle Malawi in the three-team group.
Zimbabwe have just a single point from their three games cannot now qualify for the finals in Ghana next year.
The Zimbabwe Football Association already has begun scouting a replacement for coach Charles Mhlauri, that's according to the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper.
Zimbabwe has not won in a competitive international since beating Ghana in January 2006.
