Two early goals helped Morocco beat Zimbabwe 2-0 to claim firm control of Group 12 in the 2008 African Cup of Nations qualifying. Marouane Chamakh, who has threatened to quit international football if Morocco do not qualify for the finals, opened the scoring after just three minutes,
The victory was completed on 26 minutes when Youssef Hadji found the target.
The victory gave Morocco seven points and a four-point lead over idle Malawi in the three-team group.
Zimbabwe have just a single point from their three games cannot now qualify for the finals in Ghana next year.
The Zimbabwe Football Association already has begun scouting a replacement for coach Charles Mhlauri, that's according to the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper.
Zimbabwe has not won in a competitive international since beating Ghana in January 2006.
